Electric Macan

Porsche have gone all-in on electrification for the next Macan with no petrol, range-extender or PHEV option, just a BEV. Given the typical Macan usage pattern I think that makes sense as given EV handles just as nicely, has plenty of range and is more practical. I don’t know if Macan buyers will agree though.

As for pricing, well, ever tried to price a Porsche? There are probably fewer atoms in the universe than versions of Porsche cars. Nevertheless, I went to the Configurator and selected what appeared to be the cheapest options and it was $110k for the petrol Macan, production ending in September 2024, vs around $173k for the cheapest electric.
